Shipping Policies

Shipping Fees/Times

Shipping and Handling: We charge actual shipping costs for packages under $250 in value. You have the option of selecting between UPS or Fedex if you are paying for shipping. Carrier cannot be selected for Free Shipping. We will choose the lowest cost carrier.

Shipping Insurance can be added for the greater of $1.50 or 1.5% of the package value. See Shipping insurance section below for details on what is covered and not covered.

Adult Signature can be added for an additional fee of $5.50.

Shipping Times

We get 99.5% of packages out in 1-2 business days. Occasionally we may be backed up after long holidays, but if you request shipping on a random weekday, you should get a shipping confirmation the next business day. If there is a question about your order we put it aside and contact you.


We ship in a heavy duty plain brown cardboard box with no markings to indicate the package contains ammunition. We are required to add the “limited quantity” diamond on the outside of the package but this is also used when shipping things such as insecticide, hairspray and hand sanitizer.

Returned and Reshipped

If a shipment goes out but then is returned for some reason, we will charge actual shipping for a reship regardless of whether or not the original shipment was Free Shipping.

Wrong Address / Redirected Shipments

Please double check your address prior to shipping! If you are on AutoShip, update your address promptly to avoid the package going to the wrong address. If a shipment is sent to the wrong address, we can re-route to the correct address if it is still in transit. If this was our error, we will pay the carrier reroute fee. If this is a customer error, we will charge a $25 reroute fee to your card on file to cover the expense charged by our shipping carriers.

Shipping Restrictions

We are unable to ship to some areas. Other areas require identification or other documentation that we must have on file before we ship. See details below:


Any location not in the Continental United States (Alaska, Hawaii, International)

P.O. Boxes (UPS and Fedex require a physical address)


California: Now requires we ship ammo to FFL Dealer or Ammo Dealer.

Connecticut: Must have copy of DL and Permit to Carry or Ammunition Certificate

New Jersey: Require Valid Firearms Identification Card on File.

Massachusetts: Require LTC or FID on File before shipping.

Illinois: Require Valid Firearms Identification Card on File and Driver’s License or State ID.

New York: We are unable to ship to New York City but can ship elsewhere in the state.

Shipping Insurance

You have the option of adding shipping insurance to your shipment. If you decline shipping insurance you accept responsibility for any lost or damaged packages.

Regardless of insurance selection, we recommend customers closely follow tracking and use the carrier’s online delivery tool to customize delivery time, date or location if they are unable to be home at the time of the initial delivery.

In addition to shipping insurance, we also offer signature required service for added security.

What we’ll cover (and won’t cover):

If you pay for shipping insurance and your package is lost or damaged in transit by the shipping carrier, we will, upon completion of our investigation and the carrier claim process, provide you with an account credit equal to the dollar value of the lost or damaged portion of your shipment.

Shipping insurance only covers packages IN TRANSIT, that means everything that happens before it is delivered to your doorstep. It is your responsibility to be home when a package is delivered or have it routed to someone who can be home to receive your package. Packages left on doorsteps are vulnerable to theft and are not covered under our shipping insurance policy.

Notification Requirements for Insurance Claims:

  • For packages lost in transit: You must notify us via email within 24 hours of the original date of delivery, or sooner, so we can file a claim with the carrier.
  • For damaged packages: You must notify us via email within 24 hours of the delivery and include pictures of any damage (outer box, inner boxes, tape, etc) so we can file a claim with the carrier.

Special Note Regarding Stolen Packages:

Our shipping insurance coverage ends once the package is marked as DELIVERED by the carrier. If you suspect package theft, you will need to file a theft report with the police and contact your home or renter insurance for coverage. If you have evidence that the package was never delivered by the carrier we will work with you to file a carrier theft investigation and may be able to provide an account credit if carrier theft occurred.
